Our special ship will collect large quantities of rubbish from the sea. In the following we recycle the collected waste in an environmentally friendly way.
The revolutionary concept is the combination of waste collection and recycling and on the other hand the production of drinking water and microplastic-free table salt. The Ocean Waste Recycling Ship collects and recycles waste from the oceans on an industrial scale. Due to the size of the ship it is possible to pick up large amounts of waste, mainly plastic waste from the water every day and recycle it on board using the latest technology. The waste is converted into a technical gas consisting of 75% hydrogen, depending on the input. The technical gas is used for the ship’s energy needs.
In parallel seawater is filtered down to nanoscale and high-quality drinking water (WHO standard) is produced by reverse osmosis. The drinking water produced is delivered to the customer by another special ship – the drinking water shuttle. The sale of the drinking water and the microplastic-free salt generates the contribution margin for the operation of the ship.
This innovative overall concept creates the opportunity to clean the oceans of waste, synchronously alleviate the drinking water emergency and prevent further salinization of the seas.
An economic side effect is the securing, preservation and creation of new and sustainable jobs in industry and shipbuilding.
